For me there has never been a strict divide between academic and literary writing. Truth lies in language. Language is imagination. 

 

I started writing published pieces in the early 1980s. To date I have written a large number of newspaper articles, editorial introductions, research papers, encyclopedia entries, academic book chapters, and books. 

 

In 2020, I published my first full-length literary work: They Called You Dambudzo - A Memoir.
